The Foundation “Smart Health – Health in 3D” (SHF) was established by the end of 2015 by Krzysztof Przewozniak, sociologist of health and medicine with over 30-years knowledge and experience in public health, and Marek Krygier, a businessman who since 12 years successfully introduces and develops innovative brands and products on consumer electronic market in Central and Eastern Europe. The professional staff and group of collaborators include a number of well-known Polish and international experts. The structure of the Foundation includes: Management Board (led by Krzysztof Przewozniak, President and Founder of SHF), Supervisory Council (led by Professor Piotr Jankowski from the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow), Scientific Council (led by Professor Krzysztof Krygier from the Life Sciences Faculty at the Agriculture University in Warsaw) and International Advisory Committee (led by Professor Jonathan Samet, Director of the Institute of Global Health at the University of South California in San Francisco).
The main goal of SHF is to act for improvement of health care and promotion, implementation of comprehensive population-based disease prevention strategy, life saving and protection of environment through smart health technologies and innovative communication systems.
The Foundation staf and experts has broad knowledge and long-term experience in different fields of public health and health promotion. SHF closely collaborates with the following international and Polish institutions with outstanding expertise in health care, public health, health promotion, social communication and smart health: the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP), Smart Futures EEIG, French Office for Health Care and Well-being in Work, National Chamber of Nurses and Midwives, State Agency for Prevention of Alcohol-Related Problems, National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, National Institute of Mother and Child, National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, Collegium Civitas, Center for Social and Economic Analysis, TNS Poland, Copernicus Center of Science, Health Promotion Foundation. In addition, SHF also works with few Polish media groups and start-up companies on developing of innovative systems and applications, for example on implementing of telemedical monitoring in health and social care settings.
